The Los Angeles Film School prepares the next generation of creative professionals for a future in the entertainment industry, with degrees in Animation, Audio, Entertainment Business, Film, Graphic Design, Media Communications, Music Production, and Writing for Film & Television.  Our employees are also a central part of that mission as they have a chance to make meaningful contributions to the lives of the students they interact with daily. 

 

The role of the Online Student Outreach Representative is providing student support and high-level customer service with an attitude of excellence and empathy through a spirit of empowerment and advocacy. Support includes proactive and responsive student engagement while acting as a customer service professional. This is an entry level position.

This opening is a full-time, primarily remote role with required in-office days scheduled per month. Our online team offices are based in Winter Park, FL.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Foster student growth through coordination with Online Student Success Advisors to provide timely and accurate answers. 
  • Maintain high volume and high-quality student contacts daily to achieve goals.
  • Contact students who are not engaging effectively in their courses, providing strategies for success.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines (FERPA)
  • Attend training and departmental meetings.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed outbound call goals, self-motivated, and has a confident, tactful, and professional attitude with an empathetic and encouraging spirit. 
  • Superb written and communication skills, ability to work in an organized manner, and have effective time management skills. 
  • Candidates must possess exceptional follow up, call return etiquette, email, and text messaging responsiveness
  • Maintain compliance with State and Federal accreditation and institutional policies. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment as needed.
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years experience in phone Sales and Customer Service roles with a proven track record of surpassing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and goals. 

Education/Training

  • Strong computer experience needed but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Campus Nexus, and/or Salesforce.
  • Must be a high school graduate
