The goal of The Los Angeles Film School is to prepare the next generation of creative professionals for a future in the entertainment industry. We are seeking online instructors to teach in the Digital Literacy course, based in our online office located in Orlando, Fl.



The Digital Literacy Course offers a fundamental understanding of the critical and practical aspects of digital tools, technologies, and resources. Students will be introduced to the use and layout of the school's Learning Management System and school resources. Students will learn how to navigate, evaluate, create, and critically apply information by using a wide variety of digital technologies. Through applying their knowledge to their academic studies and professional development, students will recognize digital literacy's significance in information sharing, community building, citizenship, and education.



  • Master's Degree in related field required
  • A minimum of 15 credits from courses related to the fields of Digital Literacy, Digital Learning, or Educational Media
  • Online teaching: 1 year minimum
  • Live in the Orlando/Central Florida region



  • Be a subject matter expert who teaches and mentors students
  • Grade student work and provide constructive feedback designed to guide the student's understanding
  • Serve as instructor for assigned courses and offer specialized instruction on challenging topics
  • Develop and/or revise curriculum according to course design standards
  • Ensure successful student attainment of learning outcomes
  • Conduct live synchronous online sessions weekly
  • Conduct weekly virtual online office hours/instruction for student support
  • Efficiently and professionally support students with clear communication, concerned care, creative and timely solutions to problems
  • Maintain accurate academic records, including grades and student communications



  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task
  • Positive attitude and a passion for teaching and mentoring students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
  • Tactful, professional, flexible to the needs of a dynamic organization, able to work in a team environment



  • Experience as a Mac OS user required
  • Proficient with Apple programs such as Keynote, Pages, and Numbers required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required
  • Proficiency with Adobe programs such as Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator preferred
  • Experience with synchronous meeting software (Zoom, GoToTraining/Meeting).
  • Knowledge of Online practices, search engines, operators, and current trends in the digital space preferred
