The goal of The Los Angeles Film School is to prepare the next generation of creative professionals for a future in the entertainment industry. We are seeking online instructors to teach in the Humanities courses: Cultural Studies, Contemporary Art course, and an upcoming course is development, based in our online office located in Orlando, Fl.




Cultural Studies

Cultural Studies is an interdisciplinary field that provides the terminology, analytic techniques, and interpretive strategies for examining culture. This course explores the social, aesthetic, ethical, and political aspects of culture, from its earliest origins to the culture we experience in contemporary life. Students will develop critical thinking skills to understand the meaning, significance, and value of aspects of culture, while forming their own cultural knowledge and opinions.


Contemporary Arts

The Contemporary Art course provides an in-depth study of key modern artwork movements, such as Digital, Neo-Pop, Neo-Expressionism, Anime/Manga, and Graffiti/Street Art. The course explores the artists, economic aspects, and social impact of these movements from the middle of the 20th century to the present. Students who successfully complete the Contemporary Art course will be able to describe the origins, motivations, societal influences, and economic effects of these movements.



  • Master's Degree in related field required (Humanities and/or Art)
  • A minimum of 15 credits from courses related to the fields of Humanities and/or Art
  • Online teaching: 1 year minimum
  • Live in the Orlando/Central Florida region
  • Reliable high-speed internet access



  • Be a subject matter expert who teaches and mentors students
  • Grade student work and provide constructive feedback designed to guide the student's understanding
  • Serve as instructor for assigned courses and offer specialized instruction on challenging topics
  • Develop and/or revise curriculum according to course design standards
  • Ensure successful student attainment of learning outcomes
  • Conduct live synchronous online sessions weekly
  • Conduct weekly virtual online office hours/instruction for student support
  • Efficiently and professionally support students with clear communication, concerned care, creative and timely solutions to problems
  • Maintain accurate and timely academic records, including grades and student communications
  • Some evening hours required throughout the week



  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task
  • Positive attitude and a passion for teaching and mentoring students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
  • Tactful, professional, flexible to the needs of a dynamic organization, able to work in a team environment



  • Experience as a Mac OS user required
  • Proficiency with Apple programs such as Keynote, Pages, and Numbers required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required
  • Experience with synchronous meeting software (Zoom) preferred
  • Experience with Adobe products not required, but preferred
  • Experience creating teaching materials (such as videos) not required, but preferred
